ERICA TADOKORO
Current Women’s World Record holder
Current Australian Vertical Record holder
Current Australian VFS National Champion
ABOUT ME… I started skydiving in 1999 at Cessnock in NSW just as
freeflying was taking off in Australia. It was love at first flight for me and my
passion for big way head down formations was born. I soon recognised a distinct
shortage of female freefly coaches, so in 2003 I gained my freefly tutor rating and
have been coaching and load organising ever since. The satisfaction I gain from
passing on my knowledge and seeing the fire in the eyes of my students will always
inspire me to continue in my own thirst for experience and expertise in an ever
evolving sport. The latest evolution into VFS (Vertical Formation Skydiving) is
my most recent passion and I am excited about its growth and popularity in
Australia.

There are many different sub-disciplines within skydiving such as Freeflying, Flat Flying, AFF, tandems, Wingsuiting and BASE. Our
team competes in Freeflying, a disapline that experiments with non-traditional forms of body flight. Genetix also teaches students
to develop the skills to safely fly together in all the other disciplines.
Skydiving is a dynamic sport, with the ability to reach high-speeds of up to 280kph (175 mph). We make our jump from the airplanes at the
height of 4200m (14000ft) and we open the parachute around 1000m (3000ft). Our high performance team parachutes are not only great
visuals for spectators, they are also a second discipline to every jump, taking an intense level of skill to control and land them safely
Genetix have a 2 year plan to compete at an international stage at the 2014 world champs as well as become tunnel coaches and expand
our abilities into doing skydive demonstrations into stadiums and car racing arenas. Also branching into advertisement and commercials
(stunts).
Whilst doing all this Genetix plans to Continue load organising camps and boogies through out Australia as well as Branching into
organising International camps/boogies, which will progress in Evolving Genetix as a recognised Freefly school our main passion.
Genetix started in 2009 as a skydiving competition team. The team consisted of Mason Corby, Tyler Baird and Dave Guliani. Dave left the
team in 2010 an became a skydiving merchandise dealer, while mason and Tyler took on more of a coaching role starting up Genetix Freefly
school. In 2011 Mason travelled overseas to coach an Australian BASE course in USA as well as participate in Freefly training with the leading
international Freefly coaches in the wind tunnel in Bottrop, Germany and at the Voss Freefly festival in Norway.
Meanwhile Tyler stayed in Australia travelling to different drop zones around Australia introducing Genetix to Australian skydiving and
organized group Freefly lessons. Tyler was also invited to give a lecture at the annual Australian parachute federation conference in
Cairns where he spoke about the progression of Ausralian Freeflying and the new methods of Freefly training used to improve the quality
and safety of Australian skydivers.
Genetix is currently travelling Australia freefly coaching and instructing at the major skydiving boogies. Genetix is also in training
for the Australian head down record attempt in December 2011 as well as the Australian freefly championships in early 2012.
By supporting Genetix, your company will appear more versatile and be seen to encourage the practice of extreme sports, requiring
concentration, courage, determination and adventure.
Freeflying is a sub-discipline of skydiving and is a sport of creativity, open spaces, speed and adrenaline. This is a symbol of openmindedness
and will enhance the value of your company giving you a unique angle of originality. You will receive extensive media coverage from the numerous
competitions, coaching camps, skydiving festivals, Display jumps, skydiving/base jumping events and internet exposure all year round.
Through this your company will be well represented at all these events. We are also full time skydive instructors at Sydney skydivers
DZ (the largest DZ in Australia right next to the M1 which connects Sydney and Melbourne) teaching first time skydivers through to
the very experienced skydivers. This will allow your product to be advertised to a wider range of customers from tandem passenger and
their families to the most experienced skydiver.
As our objective is to compete at the World championships in 2012, it is on the world scene that you will be represent through the
international competitions and the World Games. We can dress our team with the logo’s and designs of your company:
suits, canopies, harness etc. and can give you pictures and videos to promote our partnership.
By joining our team we can supply you advertising photos with your brand or logo with extensive internet coverage and promotion at our
events.
This is a newly developing sport, so we have to finance ourselves the jumps, windtunnel time, our equipment, and our trips on different
drop zone for training and competing (QLD,NSW,VIC,WA,NT,TAS...). It is a consequent budget and that is why we appeal to you for any kind of
sponsoring.
